Property Tax

2001 Tax Rate $1.30 per $100.00 of assessed property.
Due Dates: October 1, 2001 to February 28, 2002 without interest and penalty March 1, 2001 interest and penalty applied at 1 1/2% per month.

License Plates

License Plate renewal available at City Hall Monday and Tuesday 8:30 to 4:00

Clerk & Master

Prior year (2000) real and personal property taxes will be turned over to the Clerk & Master on April 1, 2002

Tax Relief

Tax relief may be available to applicants 65 years of age or older provided their income is within the limits set by the State of Tennessee. The income limit for 2001 taxes are $11,800.00 (Based on 2000 income). Tax relief is also available to disabled citizens, disabled veterans, and widows or widowers of disabled veterans. Applications are available at the Clerk’s Office.

Business License

Business must be located inside the corporate limits of Lenoir City. There is a $20.00 fee to obtain a new license; each year a business renews the license is based on gross sales.

Court Hours

2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. We can reschedule court one time only. You must appear before the Judge in order to attend Defensive Driving Course.
